Paris Like American :Frassy Paris Fashion Balenciaga and Week

Audrey Rogers is a native of Virginia, calls Spain her home, went to school in England and has now finally settled in Paris. Her global lifestyle is an indication of her creativity—she is eclectic, spontaneous and knows how to pull off leopard with neon colors.

“My style is really random,” says Rogers, 23. “I love boho chic with fringe and old leather jackets. I like to try them all.”

Rogers shares her ever-changing style and more in her blog Frassy. She started the blog in 2008 while attending Durham University in Durham, England. What started as a hobby to end “boredom,” Frassy soon became a hit globally.

She and her photographer, Anastasia Nielsen, hit the streets of Paris for mini photo sessions. To Rogers, a good relationship between a fashion blogger and a photographer is essential when running a style blog.

“It’s daunting to be on the streets,” said Rogers. “People are always staring at you, and there can be conflicts between you and the photographer on the artistic control of the photos.”

But her relationship with Nielsen remains strong—she is her go-to fashion week partner every season.

When not blogging, Rogers works as a freelance photographer, mostly shooting honeymoon couples in the city of light. She loves visiting the local flea markets or staying home with a good book in her hands.

Her life is that of a film’s heroine. Rogers didn’t plan to live in Paris. After graduation, she planned to attend Central Saint Martins in London, but a problem with her visa led to a spur of the moment decision to move to the city she fell in love with at age 16.

“I love Paris,” said Rogers. “Nothing compares.”
